General Details
Ultraviolet Systems (UV) are systems used for disinfection purposes. Ultraviolet management is a fast and effective method of killing microorganisms in water without using heat or chemicals. In UV Devices, rays of certain wavelengths are used to disrupt the DNA structure of bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold spores and other micro organisms in water. Water to be disinfected with ultraviolet should be filtered, hardened, and heavy metals such as iron and manganese should be removed. Ultraviolet lamps should be replaced with new ones after an average of 9000 hours of service life. This period may vary according to the manufacturers.
