Electro Deionisation Systems
General Details
Electro Deionization Systems (EDI) are the most advanced deionization systems used to obtain high purity water. EDI systems consist of cells with a semi-permeable membrane and resin fillings. Water is purified by moving the ions to the positive and negative ends under electric current. EDI systems are constantly operating systems and they do not require such as backwash or regeneration. EDI drain waters can be returned to the RO system inlet.
